Low Voltage or Mains?
We
offer a number of different light sources (bulbs) and these each offer
the user a different solution.
Mains - Linear Halogen Tube
(Europa Range)
Top of the tree is the mains linear halogen tube which we use in our Europa
range. Giving a massive 200W of white halogen light this offers excellent
colour rendition and a flood of white light.
Mains
- RO80 (Retro Range)
Next we offer the 60W (or 100W) RO80 mains spot light. We use this bulb
in our Retro range. This is a “traditional” spotlight offering
an inexpensive source of “warm” light with a medium beam angle.
This is ideal lighting where people are the focus or where you are trying
to present a warm, even homely, atmosphere.
Low
Voltage – 50W Diachroic Halogen (Microspot Range,
Mimas Range, Hyperion Range)
The mainstay of exhibition lighting is the 50W halogen diachronic 12 volt
spotlight. We use this light in the Microspot and Mimas ranges and will
be using it in the Hyperion range (due to be launched in early 2004).
This bulb offers excellent colour rendition and the safety of 12V operation.
It is also available in a wide range of options including beam angles
of 12, 24, 36 and 60 degrees as well as colour options of blue, red, green,
orange, magenta and yellow, and wattages, 50W, 35W, 20W and 10W. It can
also be purchased with coloured back in silver and black.
Mains
– GU10 (Calliso Range, Ganymede Range)
Recent years have seen the development of Mains Halogen Lights and there
are two main variants. The GU10 (Hi-spot) bulb is a mains spotlight which
is widely used especially in domestic applications and in economy lighting.
It offers a compromise between the warmer light of the traditional GLS
bulb and the white light of the diachronic halogen spotlight. It can be
used as an alternative to the GZ10 bulb (but not vice-versa). It can be
used in our Callisto range and will be available in the soon to be launched
Ganymede range (early 2004).
Mains
- GZ10 (Callisto Range)
The GZ10 bulb is the closest 50W mains light to the colour rendition of
the 12V diachronic halogen spot. We use this bulb in our Callisto range.
It is especially useful as it throws heat behind the bulb and off the
display or exhibition stand. It offers the “best” 50W mains
solution when colour is important (e.g. as in the display of graphics) |
